I'm sure this has been discussed before but I'm not having any luck searching so I thought I'd ask again.
Put on a set of Indy -1 and when I pre-oiled it yesterday it gushed oil in to the top of the heads instantly, not sure if the rest of the motor got oiled. I've never ran Indys before where they were oiled with the oil lines from the back of the block. They are just #4 lines and fittings and I'm thinking I may need to restrict the amount of oil being pushed up to the top of the motor so I wanted to see if others are restricting the oil on their -1s and how they are doing it.
I was thinking that I could drill and tap the fitting that screws into the heads and put in a carb jet or some other type of jet.
So is it necessary and how did you restrict oil?

Yes, it's necessary and that's a good way to do it.
