Is there a better tool than a bent needle nose pliers to get a stuck fuel pump push rod out? Can I get to the cam side if I take off the valley pan?

I'm assuming you dont have any tapered thin jaw vice grips or you would have grabbed them by now

If it wont just slide out, I'd bet its mushroomed on the cam end. and therefore must come out this way too.

Take care,
