personally i think you need bigger holes in the heads to match that cam. it'll run like an asthmatic.
I dont know..i have w5 heads in 422 inches that probably arent any bigger/better than those heads, and an even bigger cam 273-280 and my car runs fine.
That combo he has should make 600-620 ponies easy, and get pretty much anything in the 10's and a light car in the 9's.
Sounds like a torky mild rpm combo.

Wade the motor won't make any more power than you have now but might make more TQ.The heads are the limiting factor.Try to find some -1 heads later and you'll see that thing come to life.

JMO Sounds good it will still be a torqee motor though. I wouldnt over gear it, or put too much converter in it. I will say even with those ported heads it probably wont want too RPM very high.

What do you think about this combo for my bracket car? 440 block, bored .030 w/ BCR aluminum main caps & zero decked, Muscle Motors stroker kit with 4.250 crank, flat top pistons. I would re-use my existing 78 cc cnc ported e-heads that flow 307 @ .600, existing Indy SR rockers, existing M1 intake and Bigs 950 carb. I have a Lunati solid roller cam with .648 lift 270/276 duration @ .050, 108 lsa. Compression ratio should be in the 12.3:1 range. The heads and intake have the std. intake window, not MW. What kind of power do you think this would make, and how more with EZ heads and a dominator? Thanks, Wade
I have a low deck motor that was very simialr to yours as far as the C.I and heads, my cam is smaller, 260@.050 intake and 266@.050 exh solid roller, and my compression was less, 9.25 to 1. My intake and carbs are Eddy low deck six pak intake and stock Holley vacume six pak carbs, the motor made peak HP at 5600 rpm and peak torque at 4500 rpm with that combination, in the car the motor pulls real hard to 7500 rpm I am scared to find out where the motor quits pulling hard so I shift it between 7000 to 7300 RPM As far as how much power the motor will make with the M1 and 950 carb. I would guesss around 650 to 700 hp depending on the tune up and weather, very similar torque. As far as how much gain with the EZ heads and bigger carb it depends on which intake and port size?
