okay guys I have a 1995 dodge 2500 cummins 5 speed regular cab 4x4.

I was wondering what transfer cases f0r my truck can I use one from a gas truck when I drive it I can hear a really loud bang as I drive it in any gear it worse in 4x4 but defently sounds terrible

You will need a 241 transfer case out of a 94 to 97 manual trans truck. Autos have a smaller input size. The DHD units also have a larger output shaft size than standard duty units. Before you scrap yours, it probably can be easily fixed. I would bet it just needs a pair of shifting forks and a new rear output shaft snap ring that is likely broken or dislodged.
