Getting the 68 GTS resto into the final stages of restoration. Does anyone have a diagram showing placement to include dimensions of the bumble bee stripe? I've seen several examples but they all look different.

HMM Dunno, but look for older magazine articles where they tested the cars (think motor trend, Dick landy etc) or wait for someone else to chime in twocents

I posted a diagram years ago, but don't know what I did with it! realcrazy I will check tonight and see if I an find it. wave The best way to place it is use the rearward edge of the stripe to line-up with the where the quarter panel transitions up where the bumper fits, simple as that. Don't forget that the trunk stripe has a peak and it points to the rear!

Stripes should start at the bottom just about a 1/2 inch forward of the rear bumper pockets so that it ends up about 2" away from the rear marker lights. Remember to lay it out in its entirety and tape it in position (or use magnets) before you start to apply anything. Measure the distance on both sides of the trunk lid at least twice to make sure you are square. Then, do the trunk first. That way if you are a little off, you can compensate with the sides. If you start on one side and go across, being 1/2" out of square could lead to big problems on the other side.
