Finally finished the ties on the 68`.
Knocked out the baffles in the rear frames so I can run the battery cable and the fuel line inside the frame and connectors.
Should have the underside in paint by next weekend

I`m pretty happy with it.

They are square with the rockers height wise so they should`nt be to noticable.
Even put a tapered relief it the right one for the parking brake cable to clear.
I really enjoy cutting and modifying perfectly good parts........

I like how you did these. Especially at the rear.
Whats the specs of the tubing ? size and wall thickness ?
I Assume this is boxed tubing .
I have a 68 Charger we are going to add frame ties and this looks like it might fit the bill very well

Yes box tubing.

1-1/2 x 2-1/2" x .125 wall.

To get them parallel with the rocker height its flush with the bottom at the front and 3/4" from the bottom at the rear.
The flange at the joint of the floor near the rear will need to be flattened some. but once you get it fitted it all is kinda self explanatory.

I didn't want cut the floors at all,so I spent some time staring at it and this is the results.
I did something similar on my brothers 63` A-body,but those have different angles.
