I have a 67 Coronet with 440 and edelbrock heads. I am using Headman 78030 hedders and autolite AR3924 plugs with a .750" reach. On my #4 and #1 and I think another, the plug is so long that it is nearly impossible to put the spark plug boot on. I am using firecore 50 wires. Is there a shorter plug to give me more clearance? Is it in the .750" or is that the inside the head distance? Must be combos out there like mine. Thanks.

Headers can be a pain in the azz with eddy heads. The .750 reach refers to the threaded end of the plug. I'm not sure if anyone has a plug W/ a shorter top.

I have Hooker S/C's on mine and I just massaged them a little to get them to clear.

Your only other option may be a new set of headers.
