Im a Street / Strip guy.... using a B&M Quicksilver. Bought it because I liked the look. Found that I love the way it works and It's real solid feeling. Manual VB 727, so I'm up & down the gears all the time on the street, and I've never missed a shift

Reverse manual 727: I had a B&M Mega shifter, loved it but sold it for a Cheetah shifter...I could not get used to it, I'd get excited in the later rounds and pull it from 1st to 3rd, it was my problem, not the shifter, I'd pull instead of slap it to shift Sold it and installed a B&M Pro Ratchet with a pistol grip and I love it, never missed a shift, but guess what? After watching my Go Pro in car vids...I slap it? I'd say the best shifter depends on the guy shifting it. One size does not fit all.

Cheetah reverse pattern. I can see how making the accidental 1-2 shift could be a problem although it's never happened to me, and my car is slow enough not to worry about it happening on its own. It's smooth, easy, and reliable.

PPP because you have options on set up. I like to push on the upshift and they can do that with a reverse pattern valve body.

ANY Mopar benefits from a rear exit shifter cable IMO.
Clearing the starter, header and torsion bar can be a real challenge with the front exit cables!
... I have to rap the shifter cable with high temp covering just to make sure it doesnt burn.. no big deal.. but if I could get a rear exit on the pro ratchet that would be the ultimate ... JMO

Wrapped mine for sure and did a little creative bending of the bracket during install to keep it away from heat and redirect it's path.
Too bad no one makes an aftermarket setup similar to a slapstick with an adjustable metal rod instead of a cable!

Well I was going to put a B&M Pro Ratchet in my GTX build but now I am leaning towards the PPP. The rear exit is too good to pass up.
How do you even put a front exit cable with a CSR shield? I have a Cheetah in my race car with the rear entry and it is wonderful to have the rear entry, but the Cheetah is not a street shifter.

I burnt 1 shifter cable using the pro ratchet.. that was the very first cable.. it was a bit short and I didnt cover it.. I was being brave.. since then I use a longer cable and I DONT use the heavy duty one.. they are a lot stiffer and harder to bend to clear things... but I heat wrap it just to be sure... never burnt up another... I'll wrap it just so I can use the shifter I like... this cable has been in there 14 years now

I agree, as much as I love my Pro-Ratchet, a rear exit cable would be awesome. Although I did ditch the 5' cable for a 4' cable and that made life easier in my Duster. I also added a 3' heat sleeve for cheap from Summit for added protection.

I have a CSR shield and a front exit shifter. The hole in my floorboard is behind the rear of the shield...no problem there.
