How you calculate Quench when the deck height vary from .007 to .019 due to pistons rocking...
Actually if I use Cometic .027 my results are .034 to .046
Must I use thicker gasket

As the engine gets up to temprature the piston to cylinder clearance tightens up so they will rock less...I normally take my measurment at the pin the cancel the effect of piston rocking...I would consider your .007-.019 as a .013 & your quench measurment is .040 maybe .039....As long as you let it warm up thoroughly before running it hard you'll be fine...
