1974 Dodge W200 PowerWagon, NP205 Transfer Case.

The oil seal for the Front Output Yoke is leaking, so I'm Trying to remove the Front Yoke.

I removed the Nut and Washer with an Pneumatic Impact Gun.

I have sprayed the yoke and shaft splines with PB Blaster and Kroil penetrant and let it soak several times. My two jaw puller (medium duty) failed. A bolt sheared and a hook end broke off the puller. Not sure, but I don't think the yoke budged a bit in the attempt.

I am considering buying a Heavy Duty two-jaw puller tomorrow.

If I had the truck at home (it is at a storage site) I might break out the acetylene torch. With as much grease present (haven't owned the truck very long, I still need to scrape/clean it at some point) but as of Right now, it might catch fire if I use an open flame.

I suppose I could try using an electric heat-gun or a propane torch.

Is this unusual for the yoke to be on this tight? Is there any good advice on how to remove this yoke?

I have had luck with a 2 bolt puller in the strap bolt holes.

snug up the puller tight and hit the end with a hammer then torque on the puller tap with hammer ect..

electric or air impact helps to torque puller. add a little heat while the puller is torqued and yoke is under pressure as it heats up then tap with hammer.

good luck
