sportfury70 OP super stock S Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 727 Cleveland Ohio	My 04 Ram has an intermittent problem starting. It started out of the blue in October. I took it to a garage to replace parking brake cables and got a call from the tech saying it will not crank. It eventually started. When I picked it up I had to hit the key several times. Then I didn't have a problem for 2 months. Now it wont start again. I suspected the clutch interlock switch. I bypassed it and still no crank. Is there a common problem with these? Ignition switch possibly? Thanks. Lew

Doesn't matter if it's hot or cold. It sat for 2 weeks in December because it would not start one morning. The next time I tried it, it fired right up no problem at all.

moretoys top fuel M Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,728 ST clair shores MI	next time it won't crank,use a test light and see if there is power at the starter.(small wire) while the key is in the crank position,( will need a second person),if YES =replace starter.sometimes a slight tap on the starter if a no crank will jar it enough to crank.weather,moisture and temperature cause electrical intermittent problems.
