I bought a heli-coil kit for a #12-28 to fix the thread. But now I use a High Flow squirter screw for flow. The existing design might have a groove machined parallel through the threads. This is how the squirter got the fuel. But the heli-coil covered up this groove so I went to a hollow screw.

Unless it's a resto I would just buy a new bowl for about $50 and be done with it. I really like the new sight glass bowl conversion so you never have to open fuel on a hot engine to set the levels Linky https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_sys...rts/parts/34-38Gus

Yes it is the pump diaphragm cover. This is the middle carb on my 6v intake. I can't find a new Holley 2300 fuel bowl and I really don't want a mismatched carb anyways. I'm wondering if they make a helicoil that fits it.
If the hole is too big already use a keensert, what size are the other screws ?

All four have already been drilled and tapped to 10-32.
I know for a fact you can get Helicoil for 10-32 and for 8-32 as a mater of fact I have one here in my hands for 6-32 You can get the classic kit which will include the tap-drill bit- install tool and some coils. Look on amazon I fond them for under 30$ shipped.
Sounds like he wants to restore the bowl to the original screw size which may not be 10-32 ?
We have helicoils at work down to 0-80 ...

what carb? duel feed? I may have a bowl you can have.
It's a 6pk center carb , they are a little different than a standard duel feed bowl.

But it can be made to work and look identical !

Yes imagine that is possible for the 69 carb , but what aboutthe 70/with ECS and definitely the 71 ? Is there a generic double pumper bowl with the vent ?

Also 70 without ECS,as for the latter,I think that would be a "no" .
