Any w8/w9 a-bodies with torsion bars?... I'm just wondring if I need to bite the bullet now and swap to coil overs before the header guy has a heart attack... lol...

My guess is either way you'll need to go through the inner fenderwell, especially at 2"...

I run them,but I have a LRT front end..They are custom.

1 7/8 to 2inch primary with 3.5 merge collectors,2 tubes do run out the inner fenderwells.I have plenty of room to remove starter..

I ran an out of the box fenderwell from headman on my Arringtons. The flange is the only difference. Only issue was the #2 tube blocked access to the #2 and #4 spark plugs. I had to make a trick tool to remove the plugs.

My 69 Valiant has a complete stock front end with torsion bars and has W8 heads. The headers were custom made by Kooks and are 2 1/8 into 2 1/4 with 4" collecors.

I made my own w9 1 7/8 stepped headers in a 68 barracuda. It has all stock front suspension. They run down 2 either side of the torsion bars. They do not exit through the inner fenders. If your header guy baulks go to another one.

I used a set of 2 inch headman W2 race headers just cut the flanges off and welded a set of W9 flanges on them

Ahhh...I was wondering if that would work! Seems like a lot cheaper way to go then a set of customs!!!

Raised ports wern't a problem? Exh spacing was all the same?

My header guy hasn't even seen the car yet, I was just wondering if I was gonna have to ditch the torsion bars. Thanks for the info guys. Keep the info and pics coming...
