Looking to get a new exhaust system for 1972 charger. TTI's are a bit out of my price range and twice the amout I want to spend ( though probably worth it). I'm probably looking for 3" diameter for the performance engine, headers and future upgrades. Anyone have some experience with a brand that bolts in decently and is of good quality?

Hello, I have purchased the Jegs or Summit brand mandrel bent 2 1/2 and a 3" exhaust kits and there "X" pipe kit and put them on two 1972 Road Runners (same as Charger).
They will need to be installed and tweeked a little because headers are not all the same. I am attaching a picture of the 72 Road Runer.

That looks decent. I have cut out valance and tips so their kit may not be suitable for this car.

I have a TTI system on my. 71 RR. Don't like it. Hugs too tight against the floor. Based on that I went with Accurate for my 68 GTS.

Easy to adjust. I'm about done with a Summit 2-1/2 kit that needed a slight modification to use on my '79 small block Magnum. One note though, the advertisement said "For Hooker Super Comp headers" which are different than the regular comp headers. The collector exits are in a different spot and angle.

I have the super comps on my Magnum. I had the regular comps before it.

You can use this kit with minor cutting. The over the axle pipe is a 2 pipe slide together.
It is possible.

Can I ask you to elaborate some more, I will be looking for a 2 1/2" or 3" system in the near future for my 72 400 Satellite.
I decided on an X-pipe instead of H-pipe probably 3".
Are you using it on a 440 or 400?
Are the tailpipes turned down style that you altered or do they just come straight out.
My car was a Cali. car without tips and I plan to keep it that way.
Thanks
Ron

The road runner was a 400/451 stroker engine, 2 1/2" pipe with "X" pipe kit. The tail pipes were straight...and he wanted custom exhaust tipes (the one's in picture)
