The"Chicago" race did not happen in Chicago, it happened in St. Charles county Missouri, and they waited until the rains came in before trying to race. Remember, it's their show and they hold all the cards, and if things aren't going their way, then here comes the scripted drama.

This is 100% wrong. The Chicago race took place on Schweitzer Rd, the road that runs between Route 66 raceway and Chicagoland Speedway, just south of Joliet IL.

This picture was taken the next day, and you can clearly see the dragstrip and dirt track grandstands in the far left of the picture.

Yeah, that is the road Dave referred to as a pos. Funny how any time he gets beat it's the roads fault.

if you take a look at that road you will see one lane heavily prepped and the other just a burnout. not to mention the rain. I wouldn't have even cranked up in the rain. thats crazy.

so tell me what lane is heavily prepped? and also it wasn't raining on the real race evidently they edited the show to make it look like it was raining when they raced.

Shawn admitted on Yellowbullet (last year) to a 7.14 1/4 mile run on a prepped strip with the Murder Nova AFTER clicking it off at the 1/8th mile...

Nope, not fast at all!

with a 540 and a f-2?? I doubt it was clicked off

I was a little off. Here is what he posted on 7/02/14:

"Lol I clicked my car off at the 1/8th and ran a 7.5x in the 1/4 couple months ago. So keep thinking u know what these cars run. I love reading it."

Well since we're talking trailered-in "street" cars, my guess is anyone's mid 8-second track car would fit in nicely. And that could include a fair number of posters here, I assume..

I would think you could see the rubber on the left lane from dragging and spray? are you blind? did you watch the show?

No I don't watch notsoreality TV. Bottom line is they offered to do both lanes and OKC declined. Why are we still hashing out that they lost to tuff over a year later?

they were not offered to prep anything that I seen. each driver could prep his own lane they broke out a spray rig with drag tires and prepped the whole lane all the way down for a long time. okc boys did the burnout and that was it. they were unaware they were going to do that. and they were offered a rematch and it was excepted. then tuff backed out like a wuss. I know you have a hard on for them because they wont let you race but get over it.and the was rain on the windshield before the pass, don't know if it was fake or not.

Obviously you never watched the real video or even listened to dave after the race. (not on TV) You can say what you want about me but you should try to keep with the facts not what you want to believe. like I said this happened over a year ago and people like you believe what they want you to believe. Last thing, I'm pretty happy being me,seems like you have a problem.

Really? You honestly think Kamakaze's El Camino is flirting with the 7 second mark? Or Derick.. or Varley.. Or Farmtruck or Andradi (sp)

(Maybe Chucks Mustang now that he's running a twin turbo set up.. )

Chuck's car has been as quick as 5.05 on 275s with the nitrous motor at the track.

And they don't heads up class race, because that is not what the cars are built for. These are mostly BIG tire cars, built for what THEY do, so exactly what class are they supposed to run at a small tire race? Dave and Shawn, as far as I know, are the only two who do much track racing. Dave has a nitrous X275 car as well as the truck. Shawn races the red 55 Chevy, small tire nitrous car that is seen sitting in the shop at times. Big block, single plate deal he built for some class they run out there locally. Don't think he has run it in a while, but he used to win a lot with it.

These guys have been doing this STREET thing for a LONG time

To my knowledge, the only one who runs traction Control is Dave. He has a Davis box mounted right in the middle of his dash, so it's not a secret. Doc does NOT, Monza does NOT, Dominator does NOT. Not sure about Chief and Shawn

And whoever said a mid 8sec car would do well......yeah, ok...line it up. They will be GLAD to take all your lunch money........LOL!!!

Monte

I'm actually a little surprised looking at that photo. Lots of people were yammering on about how tuff's lane was prepped all the way to the 660'. There is more rubber down on his side for sure, but it honestly doesn't look like the vht extends out much farther than where it stops in Dave's lane. Maybe another 100'?

I really hope they run each other again. Tuff does come across as a douchenozzle sometimes but he played the game and won.

wrong, the tire drag may not go all the way down but it clearly showed the spraying all the way to the end. but it was their race done their way. kudo's to Dave for not backing out and giving it a shot. very humble loss and he even extended the invitation (and excepted) for a rematch under his conditions. which everyone showed up but you know who. a man is his word and tuff NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS HE DIDN'T SHOW. I think everyone would like to see the rematch, hell he could have took another 10K

You can clearly see where the heavy application of vht stops in both lanes, and it's not to the 660'.

It MUST be winter at Moparts.

Just looked at a picture of an empty street 5 times in one page!

What i find funny in these threads is there is all these mopars that could kick their azzes but very very few competitve mopars in heads up racing. When does the mopar world dominance start?

As soon as everyone gets their wallets out and start buying parts to build a true competitive car. And it can't take 3-4 years to do so because the class will change to much or no longer exist! And everyone has to quit the "It's not a Mopar part" B.S. It's expensive and a lot of R&D is involved. Limited parts are also available and what are cost twice as much as brand X's equivalent parts.

Derrick has a 605 with two foggers. Do you think it only goes mid 8's?

I don't know much, but I can a good read on how fast a car is by the way it leaves the line, especially for an 1/8 mile run.
Now a car set up for 1/4 mile, can come out a little softer and make it up on the big end.
