MP 528 solid and the Eddy performer rpm. Will make a solid combo especially with the 1.6 rockers. The 850 will be fine.

Those 1.6 rockers are going to speed up whatever cam you choose. Is a hyd cam an option? Hyd roller would be a nice choice.I might check the Lunati catalog.Everything else is fine.IMO 470 is probably the most efficient of the strokers.
Leave the gun.......take the Cannoli's....Mike

I used the 296*/.557 Mopar solid cam with 1.5 Sig Erson rockers in a bracket 440 I built 30 years ago. It was mostly stock, "906" heads, 2.08 x 1.74 valves, no porting or blueprinting, heavy TRW 10.5 pistons, 6-pack rods, stock balance, single plane intake and a borrowed 850 DP. That cam was very civilized in that combo. You could go a lot bigger in a bigger motor and be just as civilized. My new blueprinted 440 has a Comp hydraulic cam with more lift and duration with 1.6 adjustable rockers. Not that I am lazy, but I don't want to be adjusting a solid cam anymore. This is my hobby, not my obsession

Mike, I have considered hyd roller, that was my initial plan, but for everyone that thought is was a good idea, I would have 5 that would tell me to stay away (cost, reliability, RPM). I'm still not opposed to the idea, for my initial reason, wiping a lobe. Wipe a lobe and you end up spending what a hyd roller would have cost, if not more.
The Lunati 294/302 looks to be the closest to the numbers I have been considering, but would likely be pushing the limits of the springs I have with the 1.6 rockers. Crane has some good looking numbers, but they are proud of them.

With 3.55 gears I would call comp cams. You want torque to move that truck. And also build enough vacuum to be happy driving it.
