Hello All,
I have a 2014 Dodge Ram Sport 1500... The left front tire will not take air. Something is wrong with the valve. I know these are the remoting sensor type, but can the actual valve be replaced like the old-school valves could be with the special screwdriver to unscrew the internal valve and replace it with a new one? Or, does one have to replace the complete valve sensor?

Thanks..
Troy

Is that not covered by warranty?

if the schrader portion is leaking, it replaces just like any other insert. if the tpms is bad, the warranty should cover replacement, and it too is easily replaced, from the inside of the wheel.

The valve is a normal rubber stem. The tpms sensor attaches to it with a screw. The stem works the same with or without the sensor attached.

Is your valve stem metal or is it rubber? 2014 should be rubber but dodge metal screw in type tpms had bad corrosion issues

Thanks all.
It is still under warranty ( I have the lifetime warranty ). But, like any warranty at a dealership, there's a lot of time wasted trying to get it in. If I can replace the valve easily enough for a wee amount, then I'm willing to do that..
