I have done the '67-'72 slant six k-frame to 340/360 engine since the 80's and it does work! The 340 motor mount bracket pre-'73 A body driver side with a '72-'78 small block 1/2 ton passenger side truck engine mount bracket. Even the truck small block mount is the same as the '67-'72 A body and the slant six k-frame driver side perch is identical to the V-8.

ThermoQuads:stock, street/strip and race; 800/850 cfm's, 860/910 cfm's and 1,000 to 1,060 cfm's. New parts for all OEM 1971-1984, Competition Series and SuperQuad carbs and custom fabricating. Carbs bought and sold. Consulting on pre-purchases so you get the right carb the first time.

I would chime in on how that trick has worked well for me too--but right now I am busy counting how many of those mounts I have to list and sell. Thanks!!

Hey Guys sorry I didnt get to this sooner, but yes it did work I dropped a 340 with headers and a 727 and I ran the car down the strip, It worked great for me.
I then did the same swap using a 318 with headers and a 904 with excellent results.
So start hitting the junkyards for the truck mounts!
