A friend is looking at putting in a Gen III Hemi in his street rod but doesn't want all the electronics. I know Arrington Engines has a set-up that let's you run a conventional distributor but at $2.600 that's more than the engine itself. Anyone have any ideas or know of a cheaper way to go about this?

or mopar also makes a unit to convert to a dizzy but it also has a port for a mech fuel pump the arrington unit does not,,, cant believe he is still trying to sell those for 2600,,, i had him down to 1900 but it was still to coslty,,,when u consider you can convert a ls1 to a dizzy for 360 bucks,, the msd hemi unit is the easiest way to go or the hot wires wire harness,,,and use the motor straight out of the donor car,,,if he uses a hot wires wire harness and the factory computer he will need the donor vin number if it had security system so hot wires can cancel it,,,
