1965 440. I have no information on it. It has a broken motor mount tab on each side.

A racer with a "motorplate" could use it.
A boater with "marine motorplate" could use it.

Lotta updates done to the 440 block since that one was cast. Dunno if a racer'd want it, unless they plan to hard blok it. Heck, offer it up for sale, if it don't sale then you can scrap it.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

Sell it. Someone will want it.
It's not hard to build up the motor mount blocks by brazing with silicon bronze.

I agree also, My 340 had this done 20 years ago and still is fine.

I wouldn't sell it. 440s are getting harder to find. At least around here. Someone could use it.

It's rusty and damaged. Baking will (likely) take care of the rust but what condition it is in. (2) as said welding would fix the mounts. I wouldn't use it myself. I'd advertize it as is/honest descrip

where did you find a 65 440 ? first year was 66
It is most likely a 65 casting date block used in a 66 model year car. I just had about a dozen 440 blocks from an estate of a friend's that I was selling off. I think about 6 of them were HP blocks. Some were still standard bore. About a week ago a guy came in and bought out the complete estate for one price. A lot of good stuff went out the door in one sweep.
