I posted this question several months, maybe last year, and I lost my notes. Whicof the hend held programmers out there are good? Also which ones are no good Thanks in advance for any help on this, my 2006 3500 4whd has around 112,000 on it now so I guess it is okay to hop it up for better mileage empty and better power when towing

I used a Super Chips on mine. No problems and worked great.

I just went through this. Seems the Smarty Jr. is a very good chip. However, I had no gauges on my truck so I went with the Edge Evolution CTS so I could know what's going on inside. So far I've only used the economy mode and used it to correct for the larger tire size. Probably not the best choice for a truck with good mods.

I have the H&S mini maxx on my 2012 6.7 CTD. Really like the programmer. With all my mods it's a nice fit.

EFI live is far more safe than any other on the market. H&S are the hardest on injectors, head gaskets etc etc. they are the most agressive with timing and tuning.

EFI Live is not that way. Contact someone in your area who downloads that set up and your be money ahead.

EFI Live is a division of Super Chips. All Super Chips stuff is epa compliant and won't hurt the truck if used properly. There are different set ups in the SC tuner. Like factory tow, performance tow, fuel mileage and power tunes.

hey cab how is it going. on the tuners. the one i recommend is EFI live with a autocal. its all custom tuning and not a as they say a caned tune. I had EFI on my deleted 2009 6.7 cummins and loved it. also H&S makes a great tuner that you can get with MCC tuning, its like EFI but you cant data log with it. I have a XRT pro with mcc tuning and i am tuning a 500 hp tune on my 2011 truck. I have seen around 19-20 mpg running around 62 mph on the interstate. mine is a 2011 3500 long bed crew cab 4x4 with a G56 and 3.42 gears. there are more good tuners out there. You are just going to have to decided what your goals are for your truck and go from there.thanks Mopar65
