So you have a 2004 3500 CTD with one of the best 5.9L engines out there and you use it to pull a 40' trailer. It is nicely equipped with some factory and aftermarket options and only has 130k. I see no reason at all to be seduced into buying a newer rig
The newer 6.7L is less efficient than the 5.9L and with new emissions restrictions, more expensive to operate. A new truck like yours is $62K in my area!!!
I would put the money you would spend on a newer truck in the bank. With proper care your 2004 will last another 20 years and 260K.
