Noticed my front tires are cupping. it is noticeable, when I am pulling my 32 ft. travel trailer. We are going to be traveling alot next year, and would like to have this little problem solved. Any advise offered would be helpful. Was thinking balance and checking the alignment for starters. Thoughts???

Have your alinement checked with your trailer loaded and attached to your truck.

They are known to feather outer edges--The Goodyears are the worst for that--other brands do it much less--massive constant rotation with x -ing is my answer works! usually every 3500 miles or so--change direction on the tires --it really helps The Wranglers that came on mine were pure t junk Michlin is the way to go

That's the idea..however that would be impossible on most drive-on style lifts. I would try to duplicate loaded tongue weight in the bed as close as possible. My bet is a combination of alignment(usually f'd up from the factory) and some good shocks will take care of it. Alignment angles change a LOT when you hang trailers on trucks......be sure to find an alignment tech.....not just some guy running an alignment machine....then be SURE to explain what the vehicle is used for.

That would work too if they have the right heads(targets). I just sat in on a small Hunter heavy duty alignment seminar. They said the equipment would work on SOME light duty trucks depending on wheel size and vehicle height.

Is that where you take your truck is to a semi shop? Most semi racks are to big for a p/u.

Michlin is the way to go
And see that last set of Wranglers that I had on my 1-ton went for 80,000 miles and my truck is always loaded up. I've also have great luck with Michlins too but the last set I have on it cupped out really bad when my LBJ's went out. Pissed me of cause they were fairly new.

This is true and good advice.
Years ago I bought 4 new BF AT 33" tires for this 87 ramcharger. They came with a life time rotate & balance or something like that.
I took them off at my shop to rotate the tires on a regular basis. When I did, I ran the wheels and tires down the street a 1/4 mile to the shop where I bought them and have them re check the balance. After like the 3rd time I started to doubt that they were actually checking them, so I took the weights before taking them in. Then they came back with new weights.  The manager started checking serial numbers on the tires. Then I drove the truck down there and showed them my truck and tires one day. Then we were good for years.
I put the lift, gears and tires on the truck when it was brand new in 87 and drove it for 7 years and 90K+ miles before it was sold it.
Here's crappy picture of a picture, it's one of 2 pictures I have of the truck. It was ordered as a 360 truck new stripped and I did the lift, tires and 4:11 gears front and back when it was new in 87. I towed a 20' boat with it for years. It was a company vehicle, not really mine.
Moparmarks, Yes that's where I send our F-350/450 to a semi shop. What rack they put it on? I don't know. This is one of those shops that work on ford F-53 motorhome chassis and know how to straighten out those deals once the motorhome is mounted on the chassis which changes the alinement a lot. So I feel they have more experience with alinements with heavy loads verses the neighborhood shop.
