I am looking at several different 5 point harnesses to go into my 67 barracuda, and I figured the racer forum may yield the best results for this question.

I want to attach my shoulder belts to the horizontal roll cage bar behind the drivers seat in a loop fashion.

Do you guys have any pics of your mounting locations on your A-body cars for the shoulder and lap belts??????

Also any recommendations in harnesses?

Thanks.

Also not an A-body, but this is how mine are mounted.

Lap belts are bolted to stock belt location.
Crotch belt goes through hole in seat and bolts to the floor rearward of the role in the seat.

Thanks Bob,

Great looking car by the way!!!!!

Do the shoulder belts require some sort of divider between the straps where they loop around the bar behind the seat to keep them from shifting side to side?

My shoulder belts are mounted using one tab. My lap belts are mounted in the stock location. My crotch (he said crotch) belt is mounted under the rear portion of the seat as per NHRA.

Don't know if it is required, but my seat support bars do serve that purpose.

The reason I rap the belts around the bar and not
use the tab as seen in the pic is because I didnt
like the tab stabing me in the back and I was scared
that it could be bad in a crash(didnt know if it could
hit my spine)

I would also like to see a few more pics myself as I am at this point in my car now and will be doing all this over the holiday vacation.

I wrapped mine around the cross bar as well. I also crossed them on either side of the seat support brace so they wouldn't slide around.

Vernmotor, I did mine almost identical to yours. I used the V style which made the bolt down area not so cluttered.

I would also like to see some more pics on this subject. I will be knee deep in the seat and harness install over the holidays. Need pics of everything. How crotch strap, shoulder strap, lap belt are mounted. Even some more on the seat back brace would be nice.
