I have a 70 Duster with a Dana, and leaf springs moved under the frame rails, and factory wheel wells widened to fit flush with the frame rails. Wondering what the max size slick I can fit under there and still have the car sitting nice and low. It has 10' wide American Racing Trackstars, I forget the backspacing. Thanks for any and all help. Any pics would be awesome. I know I need to stretch the wheelwells a little also.

I stretch the 1/4 panel wheel opening five inches on my 1971 street Duster so I could run most any size street tire I wanted to. I have a set of steel aftermarket wheel tubs that go up flush to the stock rear sub frames with ladder bars and coil overs, this picture is with a set of MT ET Street radials, 315x60x15 on a set of 12 inch wide wheels with 6 3/8 back spacing. The rear end is one inch narrower than a stock A body 8 3/4 rear end also. I wanted the cars apperance to look stock so the street racers wouldn't to get alarmed

J.C. - My old Duster had stock rear frame rails with an aftermarket tub to the rail, quarters were opened up 1 1/2" on center and could fit a 31x10.5W tire.

13 x 31 about fills that wheelwell; my Duster is trimmed at the front & rear. 14 x 32 would be very close.

Jeez, Cab, that's the street car?! Nice piece...
