scannman70 super stock S Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 879 Pennsylvania	72-80 Dodge truck tail gates are pretty much all the same, Some trim is differnet, But they all interchange. Also the tail gates from a 76-80 Ramcharger with the removable top is the same gate as a truck. One from 1981 and up, thats when the body changed, they will fit the truck, but the latches are different. and won't close with out modification..

76dodgeboy master Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 8,064 Iowa	Ramchargers and Traildusters started in 74. 72/73 tailgates have the Dodge Stamped in them. Also the Military Trucks had the Stamped Dodge tailgates. But as stated 72-80 truck and 74-80 RC/TD And trim varies. But the RC/TD will have holes drilled for the latch for the lift gate. 81-93 can be made to fit but I don't recall what needs done.
