I'm getting to the point where I'm about done responding on here because of all the negative stuff, but here goes.

Which plow & brackets do you have? The older setups, where the pump & its frame stayed with the truck when the plow was dropped, had 6 or 8 bolts to remove everything below the frame. The newer stuff is very different, everything hangs below the frame. With the old stuff, with new bolts every year, a guy could remove the brackets every year, the newer stuff would be a major pita to remove everything below the frame.

Modifying any plow brackets to make them quick removal scares the heck out of me. Most plows and brackets take an awful beating, any compromise from original design means its a disaster waiting to happen.

Being a farming area, back when these trucks were new, the farmers mostly had them with factory plows (Sno Commander options, that sort of thing) and they drove the trucks off the road all the time. No rock crawling, but into the woods for hunting, or fire wood, etc. I wonder if the factory set ups would lend themselves to what you're trying to accomplish? I don't recall anyone ever complaining about sacrificed ground clearance on the factory parts, but ALWAYS griping about the after-market plows being too low...

The old "factory" Dodge plow trucks used a full hydraulic Meyers plow. Though the pumps and controls were different, the mounting brackets are the same as the aftermarket Meyers plow brackets. By the time the late 80s rolled around, there were several aftermarket manufacturers, and the "factories" bought the plow trucks from many sources.
In 90-94 I worked at Monroe Truck Inc, in the Ice and Snow Division. We made & mounted Monroe Truck versions of Meyer/Western plows on a lot of new trucks that went to dealers all over the country to be sold as "factory" plow trucks. I was part of the team that designed the mounting brackets for the then all new at the time Chevy and Ford trucks. They knew I was a Dodge guy and wouldn't let me near the Dodge trucks, Gene
