What's the process. Easier than my 71 b body where I had to take the load off the suspension and slide the LCA and torsion bar back in order to remove the strut rod?

Is it as easy as it looks? Simply unbolt the strut bar then r&r the bushing and replace?

I haven't bought my Haynes repair manual yet that I normally buy for each of my vehicles.

make sure the roll pins are removed, take the nut off, then the 2 bolts on the lower control arm, change bushing, slip rod end with 1/2 bushing into place, install 2 bolts in LCA, install 1/2 bushing/nut and torque to specs, torque 2 bolts on LCA.

I am doing a set with a driver side LCA/spring replacement on the 440 truck in the morning myself. also adding the borg steering shaft I picked up for 60$ used

swaped out the 3.91sg for a 2.76 gears along with the speedo pinion to correct speedo today on the 440 truck.

talk about highway legs.

Am I leaving the suspension hanging free unloaded, or supporting it with a jack stand?

I let it hang down full droop and leave work room under the LCA to get the 2 bolts.

jack stand under frame behind wheel opening.

Thanks. I have 1 bushing on my drivers side that is missing. I'm just going to replace all 4 at once.

best to change both side at once = 4 bushings on strut rod.

I change one side only on the 68 Dart and got a 1/2" differance on side to side on the front end rack.

side I changed pulled the LCA forward 1/2" more than the pass side. changed pass side and both got pulled forward and got a spot on alinment.

strut rod bushings take a beating daily driving.

Thanks for the writeup on how to change the bushings. I changed them today and they are soooo much easier than changing the ones on my '71 B body.
