I have a 451 with a stock six pack, bulldog heads and a 260-266 cam. made 591 hp.
480 @ the wheels.
I think you may pick up 25 hp with a switch to 950.

My non-MW port EZ headed, hydraulicly cammed 493" wedge makes 682 hp at 5500 rpm with a sixpack and I'd have to double check but if memory serves it made 685hp with a four barrel, so not too much difference on mine.

1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's
1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

I would say 15-20hp,

It's not the carbs that is the problem....it's the six pack intake that hurts you.

Just my

....there is nothing like driving my 1968 Hemi Dart around town and having people looking at you like you're nuts!!

I have seen and did similar changes to a lot of 440 type motors with stock size intake ports, all of them slowed down in the 1/4 ET and MPH when decreasing the total CFM, regardless of intakes used I did a dyno test on my low deck stroker two winters ago, removed the six pak and replaced it with a 1050 dominator carb and intake, the motor lost 8 hp and had the exact same torque More CFM on a big block Mopar with stock type heads, ported or unported, makes more power in my opinion and experiences

What kind of RPM are you turning? I've posted some dyno results a while back, April or May. I was having my 535 dyno'ed and I did a intake shoot out. The 4 barrel was king, a heavy modified M1 and made I think 20 horse over the 6-pack, the 4-barrel made 12 horse over a tunnelram and I tryed a mopar crossram, it was a piece of junk. All of the manifolds were ported. just my

11.30 is a little slow for 121 mph. whats the 60 foot? i think there is a possibility the victor could slow you down with only 3500 stall.

The big high rise Victor might hurt you down low, and the engine might not spin high enough to see a gain up top. I bet it wont be worth the hassle either way.

send a pm to BSB67, (russ). i've known russ for a long time and you'll probably get more real world intelligent information on what your trying to do from him. he's working with single 4bbl stuff on his car and has dyno numbers and track time.

You are running a hyd. roller, correct?
Also I saw the flow numbers on your intake, Is that a stock 69 style or the later reproduction intake? those numbers are huge for a factory intake.
Thanks

That's not bad considering the weight of your car and gear. I'm not sure you'll see any gain. The Victor is for higher rpms and might not have the low end the 6-pack has. My buddy runs about the same set-up in a 68 dart w/ a 850DP but w/ more stall and gear and runs 10.80's. What about re-tuning your 6-pack or trying some 4.30's??
