Believe it or not the trans worked to drive it on the trailer and drive it off. Now I have to determine whether I should take the trans out and try to get the guy who built it to fix it, or buy a new trans, or sell it as is and get something else.  I have owned it 10 years and really love it when it runs, but 4 of those 10 years it has been down for one reason or another.  WWYD? 
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

take the hit, and find another trans builder.  i use smr transmissions. they're way off in some foreign country though, called "canada", so there's the whole language barrier to deal with. ('eh,)  they'll sell you a custom built trans, and when you get it, you send them yours, for the core.
