Gaines' Dodge Dart went out of control and crashed near the finish line. Gaines, who exited the car under his own power, was examined and released at the scene by NHRA emergency services officials. "It happened so fast, I was unable to catch it," Gaines said. "I'm justy sick that we ruined a very good race car. We'll come back and rebound." Around 3 p.m., about an hour into the cleanup and investigation following V. Gaines' accident, rain began falling. The rest of today's racing has been postponed. I have been from center line to the wall more times then I care to recall. Seen countless cars crashed for no good reason other then a poor racing surface.

What about the rest of us door car guys that have to race on this POS all the time. It SUCKS. THE SURFACE IS TOO SMOOTH. WILL NOT HOLD THE RUBBER DOWN. IF YOU GET OUT OF THE GROOVE YOU CRASH!!!!! Pretty damn simple!!!
