Problem is after I took the rally cluster out and reinstalled, I checked to see if everything was working before I screwed it back together. All the guages and tach are ok but the turn signals and dimmer are screwed up. They worked before.

Is there a ground to headlight and dimmer switch I'm missing? All plugs are connected. Turn signal works with the light switch off. Dimmer works on a test light to the bulb over the heater control but not to the pannel.

I replaced the flasher (which was very warm). Got to be something dumb, switches have power but why wouldn't the turn signals work when the headlight are turned on?

Also were can you get those little instrument bulbs. While testing the dimmer circut I noticed a couple out.

It needs to be mounted in the dash to ground it properly.

I used an alligator clip from dash frame to the switch, maybe that wasn't enough.

Did it all work before? Did your car just come back from paint?

Tom

The little bulbs should be at the parts house.

Took the cluster and control panel to replace woodgrain. No new paint to affect grounds, but acts like a ground problem. Everything worked before but Dimmer switch was always either all off or on. Don't know why it won't light up at all or turn signals don't work when light are on?

Maybe the dimmer switch is affecting it. Seems odd.

I'd make sure the switches are plugged in all the way, all that wiggling to get it back in has caused my plugs to separate several times when I was reinstalling mine.

Hopefully thats all it is.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.
