I just started to restore a 1964 A100.
Changed over to 360 with auto from 6 cyl. 3speed.
Is there any body else working on one.
Have questions and looking for part source for some pieces.
Thanks Jim

Hit up RodStRace here on Moparts, he might be able to help or point you in the right direction...

Ebay has the motor mounts you will need listed right now.

This is off the top of my head, some stuff may not be right...
Edited to add some links!

Seals - Restoration Specialties has almost everything except the vent windows. Yours will be the 'early' style that is different from the 'late' style that covers many more years. They have said they will bring out the late style for years...
http://www.restorationspecialties.com/Products.html
Avoid the place in LA CA, the seals from them have many poor reviews.

Gaskets - The moparts member from Detroit was going to gear up for these, I don't know how far along he got. He has some already.
http://www.detroitmuscletechnologies.com/dodge-truck-19/

Glass - all flat, try your local company.

Steering - the drag link and one tie rod end are tough, the rest can be sourced. You need to determine what axle/suspension you have to get the right stuff.

Brakes, try the usual sources. I got the 3 brake hoses from a guy on EBay from Brazil. Good seller.
67-up use dual master. A disc conversion is available, you need to determine which spindle you have (regular or HD).

Shifter for auto - 3 different styles over the years. Again, yours will be the rarest 'early' style.

Radiator and gas tank - no repops and most require refrub/replacement. Gotta figure out what will work with your budget.

Door handles/locks - shared with early A bodys, not repopped.

Seat foam and covers - new available but expensive.

Wiring - often in poor shape, no repop.

Repair panels - there is one of the old style (not very good) makers that does lower sections.

This place had good reviews, but probably still not AMD quality.

Manuals - available online either original paper or .pdfs on CD. Strongly suggest getting the correct one for your PU. They are simple beasts, but there are some strange areas that the manual really helps with. There is also the original dealer slideshow showing all the unique features of them on you tube which is fun and good info.

sites - vintage-vans, but the level of knowledge tends to be low. Yahoo Dodge A100 group, has many years of posts and some great info, but very slow and ya gotta weed through the posts to find the gold.

The sweptline site also has a section on A-100s.

Repop (unique A100 parts, not just mechanical stuff) - as said, the seats foam and covers, headlight bezels, seals and gaskets and some repair sheetmetal. The tail light lenses are shared with trailers (check NAPA). No other trim, handles, latches, interior parts are made that I know of. As far as mechanical/electrical stuff, keep searching local stores and online (rockauto) for availability.

I saw your post about the 64 A100 you were starting. Still have it? My 65 A100 pickup still has the slant, but was upgraded with a super six package. I am looking for door lock cyls, and vent window seals. Any ideas?? Gary

The last post before yours was 5 years ago.

They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Steel Rubber Products has the best vent wing window gaskets on the market bar none.
