The paint shop stripped the interior and now the auto shifter's stuck in park. I've rotated the sleeve on the steering column to no avail and I don't see any linkage hooked to it under the hood near the firewall. Any ideas? THX

For whatever its worth... I bought a 70 300 ragtop with the same issue. A but of poking around revealed that the keyswitch must be "on" for the shifter to release.
Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they are not out to get you.
WANT TO BUY- Looking for a CD by 'The Sub-Mersians' entitled "Raw Love Songs From my Garage To Your Bedroom". Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.
