Another step closer. Off to the muffler shop to close up the open exhaust.

Short clip of it in motion...

My son works at a powder coat and fab shop (spyderindustries.com) so we worked the dents out of this tired grille and powder coated it. Not perfect, by any means (getting the defects out), but a huge improvement over what it looked like before. Stripping, sanding, and polishing the old one just wasn't practical. We'll paint the blacked out areas back in.

That looks really nice. up
Will even be better with the black out.
I have the same grill in rather poor shape.
I'm hoping to it get half that nice.
The whole project is turning out great.
It's been fun to watch the progress.
Thanx.

It's been slow this past year, but finally got it running and a few things wrapped up with some help from a friend. Once it comes back from paint....FULL STEAM AHEAD

Finally wrapping things up. We set a goal and deadline to be primarily complete (for now) in time for a local car show called Wings & Wheels yesterday.

Very brief video clip in transit to the show...

We were parked next to a 440 powered 1941 Dodge Power Wagon - Military

Nice truck! What year Mustang tank did you use? I'd like to do that mod on my '85 D-150 and ditch the plastic tank

I don't recall the exact years for the application - 60-something. It's a 22 gal tank from Mustangs Unlimited (via ebay). It came with a sender and even has a drain plug. Details are here: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1624555/3.html

The rubber neck and cap we used came from Tanks Inc.

All this required some kind of vent system which we did by running a line from the filler neck over and up inside the bedside.
