I have a 73 challenger. I think the guy put a 70 repop dash pad in it. Im saying this because the lower left dash piece doent fit right. It seems like its too short. Any help would be appreciated thanks dennis

The problem you are having is the quality of the reproduction dash - .....

Does it look something like the attached photo? If so, it would be because of the repop dash if it's one that has been made using either a fiberglass or ABS/plastic core. The prior owner of my 70 Challenger put one of these repops in (I think it's a Legendary pad). I will soon be replacing it with an Ultimate Rides (steel core) dash pad.

70 lower dash panels lack a character line that 71 up panels have. Pictures about 1/4 way down the page, here

http://www.tonysparts.com/newproductsE.htm

(panel to right of steering column has better pic, easier to see difference)
fit and function would be same (i think )

Yeah, it's hopped up to over 160...

The 70 Challenger differs from them all not only in the cosmetic point it has but the real difference is the slope of the end point. A 70-74 Cuda or 71-74 Challenger with the indented line mounted on a 70 Challenger leaves a horrible looking gap to the front edge of the dash pad. Is this what you are seeing?

Here's a comparison pic of a couple E-body dash pads
