I thought I should make some time and post some before and after photos of the work Jerry and I do. We not only do 3 speed motors, we restore two speeds, single speeds, carbs, alternators, starters, power steering pumps, master cylinders, brake boosters, power window motors, convertible top motors, blower motors, heater boxes, etc.

We're back in FL from TN., shipping internationally is not a problem, offer military discounts for active and non active duty and from time to time you'll probably see me come over and offer a "Daily Special" exclusively for Moparts members.

Very nice. You did the brake booster in my Charger last winter and it came out very nice. When I do the wiper motor I will be calling!

A couple E body motors I've received and restored

And another one, in a little rougher condition (owner supplied an "extra" switch plate/gear housing cover)

Thought I'd steal some time and post a few photos of a motor IN progress. Once I've tested for all speeds and park I add the wiring harness and move it to my table to add the sealant and it stays there until the sealant is dry. At that point I add the harness hold down, ground strap, grommets and firewall gasket, mounting hardware and it's ready to box and ship. This was the build of a restoration of an original motor for the owner. I replaced the switch plate which was broken from my inventory in this particular instance.

Testing for Park Function

Set up For Sealant and Drying

Photo of wire covers. It took us many many hours to locate and procure the fiberglass sleeving that we use on each motor. It's high abrasion resistant, resistant to engine fluids, etc., and can with-stand temperatures up to 650C. Cut and dyed by yours truly and thus the reason several times a year I walk around for days looking like Walt Disney threw up on me (I custom mix my dye colors to as closely match the OE colors as possible).

So there it is in a nutshell, a wiper motor in progress. The motor beside the restored motor on my table is a repair.

We also do repairs if someone's budget it limited and they're ok with the way the motor looks, they just want it to work and have covers on the wires, etc. so the motor functions as intended.

I just received my two E body date coded wiper motors restored by Kim. They are just fantastic! The dyed fiberglass wiring insulation is over the top.

Thank you, great work and I am very pleased.
Also, make sure to tell Jerry to get to work!

Kim:

What would it run me to rebuild my booster? I assume you totally disassemble it, etc, correct? Also, the turn around time? This is for my 71RR. It came with drums but converted the front to discs, just FYI.

You cam PM me here.

Thanks?

Mines in the mail as we speak. I showed my dad the before and after pictures you sent me. He didn't believe me that it was the same one . 28K miles later and I finally will have some working windshield wipers.

Been trying to get in touch with Kim about a wiper motor they have of mine. Left many voicemails, emails, etc... over the last 3 weeks and have gotten no return calls or emails. Anyone know if there's an issue? Thanks.

That one, you sent, was not the correct part. The shaft that goes through the linkage on the part you sent was to short. The shaft was probably about 5mm to short and would not go all the way through the linkage to allow for the clip.

Hopefully you can tell by the pic how short the shaft is on the one you sent compared to my original in my post circled above.

Your website shows a specific part for 72-74 Barracudas. 3431518. You sent me a 3431635? That part is not listed on your site so I am not sure what it was suppose to fit. Can you PLEASE get me the correct part that was sent to you with my wiper motor?

Coming in to make a quick post while I can. Today is "game day" for me here. Hurricane Matthew is already starting to wreak some havoc on my area. It's going to make a direct hit around the Daytona Beach area, I'm 28 miles from that area. It is coming as at a category 4, with winds being forecast for 135-156 mph. We ARE going to lose electric and have been advised we can be without electric from a few days to several weeks. While I'm without electric I will have no ability to respond to emails, there will be no phones and cell service will be hit and miss for awhile. This is the worst storm in Florida history, we are under a state of emergency, 2500 National Guard have been called up, 4000 are ready for active duty according to Govenor Scott's last address an hour ago.

If you have anything with me, I have sandbagged the shop, put all motors, cores, plated components, etc. in bins and on tables/work benches, covered with tarps and plastic sheeting to prevent anything from getting wet, should I lose my roofs. If cores still had their boxes with them they have been moved to my dining room and they are safe. I do not know when I get can get back over here to update status. The situation here right now is very fluid and very tense. The actual "hit" will be approximately 2 a.m. Friday October 7 and we're advised we will be dealing with this storm for approximately 25 hours until we're down to tropical storm winds, etc. and damages can be assessed.

If you're so inclined, please say a prayer for ALL the residents of FL. We're going to need any and all prayers.

I haven't heard from Kim since yesterday afternoon. It may be a while until we get some news from her. I'm sure all the people of Florida are dealing with some sort of issues from Matthew this morning. Now it's onto South Carolina. We hope all keep safe down there.

I do know that both of Kim's security systems are up and running.

Well some good news! Kim and her buddies are doing just fine. up

Can't say the same for the outside. Somewhere under all of that is flat ground with grass. Just another restoration waiting to happen...

Hey Jim, thanks for the updates over here. Getting off some quick emails while we continue to assess damage. The big shop has been without power since Friday, looks like a big cookout is coming rather than lose a freezer full of meats LOL

Big shop took some damage that we'll be working on today also, awning got peeled away, we'll have to check structure on it, overhead door motors don't raise the doors any longer, we're going to check compressors, etc. and load up chain saws to come over here and dig my little shed out of the oak that came down and repair the fence that's on the ground now that keeps the security system in place LOL Those sheps will suddenly think my neighbors acreage is theirs to patrol and I'd like to keep them on premises. Will check back as I can. 12" of rain and 88 today, it's gonna be a hot muggy clean up. Small shop is dry, windows are intact, no wet floors, etc. so everything is fine on my end, it's just getting back up and running now and the quicker the clean up the quicker I'm back up and working...except I blast at the big shop LOL

Still trying to sort it all out...alot of trees are still down and roads impassable, some trees that didn't fall are falling now because they're so stressed. No electric yet, they're working from the coast to the inland areas so we'll be awhile without power. Working on the generator, that will run Jerry's house and the big shop, or we'll see if we can get to a point where we can work small projects at a time, like blasting. Most major intersections don't have working signals yet, which is fun while you trying to traverse from shop to shop, and trees are blocking our usual routes.

Don't want to go through this again....25 hours it took for this to come through, but all in all both shops are blessed as are we and the security team LOL
