Run whatever you want and put some resonators in the tailpipes.I always vote for the longer case Dynomax super turbos but most go with magnaflow or dynomax ultra flow.An x pipe and resonators will help quiet the beast.

On drag week you just have to pass the cop test and
they are pretty easy on that... specially when you
are in a group of cars

i wish it had enough room for an x-pipe but being a a-body with a ladder bar set up and a lot of braceing under the car not a lot of room

that's good just was wanting not to make the neighbors mad when coming in from a cruise or the track at 1 or 2 in the mornings as well

think a 3 inch exhaust is to small or keep it the same as the collector size

3-1/2" Hooker Aero Chambers worked well on my old Duster. They are a chambered straight through design. Not too loud, until you get on the happy pedal.

My car had a three inch system from the 3.5 inch collectors straight back back to the Magnaflow 14x7x3 inch side inlet with 3 inch center outlet oval muffs mounted behind the rear end at the rear bumper You can see them if you look real closely, the pipes run from the fenderwell headers straight back under the rocker panels and then under and behind the rear wheels up to the muffs The car has ladder bars and coil over rear suspension with the stock gas tank so there was no room to run the system under the car and over the rear end housing. The muffler shop ran them like you see in the picture, the side pipes hide the ladder bar and so on The car(518 C.I. pump gas wedge) ran high nines on pump gas motor only with the exhaust system hooked up and the air cleaner on I got lots of comments on how nice the car sounded and ran at the track

I have tried the 3 1/2" flowmaster race mufflers,Dynatech splitflows,Hooker Aero chambers and the 6" oval Magna flows. The Flowmasters were the most quiet out of them all but cost 1.5-2mph. I have been the fastest with the Aero chambers and they are not to bad with the noise either.

Leaving out design and cost, the largest internal volume has the lowest noise and lowest power loss.
If you have to be in the car more than 1 hour you'll throw away your Flowmasters.

Even a smaller diameter H-pipe will do some good, if you can squeeze it in. It's more about connecting pulses than flow, in my book.

I have yet to talk to Hanz but HMF here in Cleveland makes custom muffs for bikes and I think they would make some for cars but for $$ savings you may want an off the shelf.

Those things are junk.. very restrictive and still
loud... I told a friend they were but he bought them
and put them in his headers.. he lost .4 in the first
pass and they got slower... by the end of the day he
pulled them out and went right back to his normal ET
