Interior very nice with factory Radio delete, all glass in nearly perfect condition. Everything still works!

So did you buy it? Are you selling it? What's the deal?

I bought it last summer, it was found by a friend at a farm auction. I was thinking of putting a factory looking 426 hemi in it and and leaving everything else the way that it is. I just can't do it, the car is so nice and original. I think I just might sell it this spring for what I have in it and let someone else enjoy it. If it is not sold this spring it will be in the survivors area at Carlisle this summer.

Nice
I'm kind of glad mine was disqualified as a survivor.
That opened the door to make for some nice up-grades

I'm curious...Just what "disqualified" it as a Survivor? It looks pretty original to me.

I can answer that, A few of the resto guys chimed in on a post when my brother first bought it.

He posted on how nice a survivor he just scored, then was met with all sorts of crap that didn't meet their standards. Mostly it has had a complete repaint one time in its life and that the front seats had been recovered without the proper scrollwork in the vinyl.

It bothered us a little and then we chose to let it be a opportunity for freedom.

It is very original, was bought from the first owner, the car was used for its purpose not just put away, so it has had one cheap paint job, I would guess 15 years back, the carpet shows wear and the front seats were recovered not badly but not with the "correct replacements" and the front seats even had a 1" stack of washers to raise the seat for the old lady.

The Idea is to enjoy the car and the 383 was a great alternative to a tired 318, and a little elbow to the purists out there that think a set of letters and numbers are more important than anything else. Link to quick build thread: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...e=0#Post8075786

Well I think the car is very nice and it doesn't look like it would take much to make it a real head turner. Good luck with it!
