Not listed on the Monster Mopar website. Not listed on Fast Mopar website. No entry fees listed. No pay outs listed. Guaranteed pay out?
I'm doing my race schedule now. I'm a working guy with limited vacation time. ???????????????????

Pretty lame to not have the promotor out in public promoting these events and leaving everyone hanging in limbo

416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.

I see nothing about payouts. I remember the posts last year that if racers wanted to know the payout at Norwalk they should have asked. Well, I'm asking. Also wonder whats happening with the 1/2 off entry I was promised from last years Indy race now that there is no Indy race. There's no promotion that I can see, thus no answers.

Am I missing something? It doesn't appear to have any 2014 events on the Fliers? Wrong dates for Norwalk.

Scary isn't it. Glad I didn't plan on going.
I see the slow death in what was once a good race.

The lack of communication is really the killer. Nothing official from the promoter, no race dates and when he did get something out it was not from him on these boards it was from someone else. Racers and even swap and show people are asking questions but no one from MMW is answering them but we do get tid bits of info from some of his peeps who may be in the know. No payouts listed but I have seen entry fee's Also when he was looking to expand his series he overlooked tracks like Quaker and PRP because he only wanted to race at "A a first class facility with alot of paved parking" but now picks some little track for the Indy replacement. Will I be there not not? Maybe - maybe not. It is NOT one of my must go to races.

I believe the term they used for going to those smaller tracks was- they werent going to any "podunk" little tracks!

Greg you are exactly right but I tried to stay away from that term ("podunk") because when I referred to that track before at a $hit$ole I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. I do know it has new owners and has been improved but I'll bet not to the grand scale Josh was looking for.

KK does not have the charisma that Indy does, that’s a given, but the racing surface is better – hands down.

Shyte hole it is not – I have been to shyte holes. Podunk? well, as I said….I have been to shyte holes and KK is heads and shoulders above those.

The problem may be parking for this event as it isn’t a huge facility. There are options in my opinion, such as opening up the “Creekside” for the swap meet and show cars and parking all non-event cars out front…I’m sure the staff and I “hope” the promoter will evaluate some ideas and options for those issues. I don’t really see it being a show stopper.

The staff at KK is continually reviewing and revising things for improvement, will there be issues? – probably.

The biggest issue I see at this time is the structure of the event, not the location. Based on the sketchy information provided so far, and apparent lack of effort with updates and $$ commitment from the promoter this far into the game, it creates a considerable amount of reservation with my plans for that weekend and I’m less than 10 miles away.

Realizing the event was just reserved for KK a few days ago, I don’t see it as an excuse for going into such an endeavor without a plan already established…..regardless of where its located. That information should be “cut and paste”.

DVW did you really think you would get that raincheck back from last year at Indy? After all, it was only worth $75.00. Oh wait, there were 200 cars there, X $75 = $15,000.00. What did the MMW promoter do with the extra 15 G's?

Considering how poorly this is being promoted, that may not be an issue...

how do you know it was extra money?unless you were privy to the details of the contract josh had with indy it sounds like you are calling him a theif.i know from personal experience that most tracks do not refund money to the promoter if its rained out. so I would say the 15k went to track rental, advertising, hog roast and band ect. and dont get me wrong im not im totally happy with the way some things have been handled at the monster mopar events I have attended.but crying about $75.00 due to a rain out to me is silly.i have pissed away more money than that tons times doing stupid stuff to my car that slowed it down.

this appears to be an ongoing PROBLEM with every event, except for jeff johnsons and bg racing.id say cut your losses and follow what works.unprofessional events wont make money or make racers happy, and eventually will self suffocate and wither away.and they always wonder why.this event had every opportunity to be huge and successful, but as usual, somebody dropped the ball on the racers feet.............

64hemi, it was $150 entry for TWO $1500 to win races. Saturday was rained out and ONE $1500 purse was paid on Sunday. Josh King posted on this site that he would give a $75 rain check for Saturday for all racers that attend THIS year's race at Indy.

Has he offered to extend this rain check to the racers that go to Kil-Kare?

This money was paid by racers for Saturdays track rental, insurance, and race purse. One of these three items were not paid.

Maybe they should look into the NEW Dragway 42 for a possible venue

We are trying to get the website updated now that we have all the information we needed on the races

It was not expected to not come back to Indy. NHRA decided to clean house with all the staff and apparently outside promoted shows are not what they are looking for this year as the best we can tell.

Norwalk is Sept 12-13-14 (like it says on the flyers we passed out at the march trade show)

Kilkare is June 28-29 (like they flyer we just passed out confirms)

Norwalk entry and payout will be exactly as it was last year as and the entry is stated on the summit Motorsports park website.

We lost out web designer so me learning how to do that is a slower painful process and I'm sorry.
