The problem may be parking for this event as it isn’t a huge facility.

Considering how poorly this is being promoted, that may not be an issue...

Up until last Friday, there wasn't a kilkare event

Sorry if I'm not moving fast enough for your liking.

DVW did you really think you would get that raincheck back from last year at Indy? After all, it was only worth $75.00. Oh wait, there were 200 cars there, X $75 = $15,000.00. What did the MMW promoter do with the extra 15 G's?

Hey cgall. You have any idea what happens to an event that gets rain.... Ok thanks for speaking up

Next time don't. Your opinion wasn't requested.

Am I missing something? It doesn't appear to have any 2014 events on the Fliers? Wrong dates for Norwalk.

I know the flyers are sub par.

I had about 4 hours to get them made and printed all while trying to put the trade show together. Sorry if they aren't very informative. We wanted to have something about both shows on the flyer and I just missed they didn't have the year on them.

I'm not cgall but............typically if Saturday is rained out the Sunday race is double payout and the weekend race is closed out.

This is an internet web board. opinions need not be requested, It wouldn't be much fun if that were the case.

Josh not to rattle your cage but I will let you know how some of the tracks I race at handle rain-outs. If it a weekend event and the first of two days gets rained out we race for a BIGGER purse the second day. Not necessarily double as track rental and costs do add up but in a case like this if you have 75 dollars hanging there roll 25 dollars of each persons entry fee into Sundays payouts. (there has to be some money left over from a race that was never run.) If you do this all monies are accounted for when you pull out from the track. My son lucked out and took second at PRP's Halloween race several years ago were this policy was used and he was a VERY HAPPY camper.

I DO The promoter takes it in the butt and the racers get a raincheck for the full amount for any future race. THATS THE WAY ITS HANDLED HERE.With your attitude and lack of any comunications you should not promote a pony and dog show. Thats my opinion.

If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

understandably things can happen out of ones control, isnt that what contracts are for? why not hire a professional to do the pr work?josh really tries to help the sport but it appears the rug always gets pulled out from under him for various reasons.my guess is he really needs a competent team behind him to help with the organizing and promotions.one man just cant wear all the shoes.some other events do seem to run smoother, but between the rain gods and the tracks changing management I am surprised he hasn't ended up in the asylum..........

SFI 25.5 depends,no leak,even at 213 mph....

Couldn't have said it better myself. There aren't too many guys willing to take the risk, or the personal attacks that come with running an event. Everyone seems to forget the few events we had in the past that were failing. It takes a lot big pair to be the one to step in and take over where others failed.
Now there are more events and everybody dissects Josh
A bunch of class acts around here, maybe you dont like the way he handled things but at least he tried when nobody else would.

There is obviously a bunch of very intelligent and talented promoters out there who know exactly the way these things should be ran. after all it's so easy to work a full time job run a household and just put on a little event for everyone's enjoyment. and what makes it even more rewarding is for everyone to appreciate it as much as they do. so with that being said let's start a list of guys on this forum who are willing to put up a hundred grand of their own money to show the rest of us just how easy it . please start your list of names here we are all very anxious to attend your event.

how do you know it was extra money?unless you were privy to the details of the contract josh had with indy it sounds like you are calling him a theif.i know from personal experience that most tracks do not refund money to the promoter if its rained out. so I would say the 15k went to track rental, advertising, hog roast and band ect. and dont get me wrong im not im totally happy with the way some things have been handled at the monster mopar events I have attended.but crying about $75.00 due to a rain out to me is silly.i have pissed away more money than that tons times doing stupid stuff to my car that slowed it down.

I was told last year that racers that attended Indy would get a credit, There's no crying, just asking. As for what was lost. I drove 13 hr round trip to Indy to run 3 races. 2 on Saturday that were scheduled, one on Sunday. It rained, no ones fault. If the payout had been adjusted for Sunday, the question would have never been asked. I just have found it very hard to find information. Such as this years payouts. Maybe I'm dumb, but so far have been unable to find any info. That is why I posted. Looking for info. I haven't bad mouthed anyone, just trying to get some clarity.

I'm hopeful the rainout entries from Indy last year carryover to Kilkare.

Seeing , watching, listening, way to many issues lack.of.dedicated tracks for what ever the reasons,.
Lack of any information, promoting questions unanswered.with a smug response,.from anyone in.the series.
The MMW event is far far removed of anything it once was
Good luck to those who run it , and to those who endure .

The clarity thing goes a few layers deep. Until a couple weeks ago or so, we were expecting to be at Indy like planned. Most or all of the staff at Indy was fired and now there is no communication from them at all, even though Josh had/has an agreement to run there this year and next year. It's kind of difficult to promote an event under those conditions...

I would suggest just being patient. The date is the same, the new venue (KilKare) has been posted, you now know what has been going on behind closed doors, and the remaining info will come out as soon as possible.

I have not seen anything from Josh retracting the rainout info from last year, so I'm not sure why some of you are making so much noise about it. Josh is actually one of the good guys...

Dennis it's obvious from your posts that you have had sour grapes since MMW was sold/left st. louis!

It's also obvious that you think scott s.(s&s)is the best thing since hemisherical combustion chambers.

So where is your super promter?
The latest event that was rumored to be coming to st. louis is not happening.

I think the current MMW weekend staff is trying to put on good events.
Let's cut him some slack while he is regrouping from the Indy problem.
This is MY view of this. Hoping that they fail will not help st. louis get another BIG event.
Don
