I'll write about one. While working at a large chev dealer there was one day in the winter back in the early 90's that all three of the dealer owned chevy plow trucks were broke for various reasons, and the sales manager was out plowing by himself in a... 1984 w250 strippo power ram that was taken in on trade sometime earlier and it was out there working like a dog, cool huh? True story, I was there had to fix one of the broken ones. (by the way that dodge was still thermoquad equipped and ran well)

I gotta say though, it would be nice if goodmark or one of the others made a STEEL hood for these trucks with a mopar scoop of some sort,or even a cowl induction hood....birdbath hoods look really cool with a cowl scoop on em.....JMO...

Dodge trucks prior to 94 are the best kept secret since Gasoline.Literally THOUSANDS of parts trucks availible,or New project vehicles,DON"T tell anyone Though.
It would be nice if the industry helped with some custom parts, but as you can see there are a lot of nice trucks without much help from manufacturers.

I just bought a not too rusty 80 model longbed /6 833od for $200 in Oklahoma...gatherin up stuff even before the move is done...couldnt pass it up, had a super six 2bbl and the four speed, a straight front clip, and one good door...pretty new p/s box, runs and drives, drove it 10 miles to the house...perfect front no gaurds bumper too. great stuff for my 83 or 4 trucks!

Just an example of parts trucks out there!

Seems like the slant six trucks runnin or not can be bought really cheap, I know they sold a ton of em around Amarillo in the early eighties, mostly shortbeds too!...My bigblock truck originally had a six in it,worked a long hard life as a work truck and was revived from a backyard for $150, still running..and my driver still has a six in it, Bought it for a song too...seems like the trucks I have looked at in Oklahoma are rustier, but are cheaper too in good mechanical order for their age......I will be collectin em up, count on it...I want a 2wd ramcharger to pro-street,thinkin a full tube chassis with bags,no top in the summer, and a big inch big block of course....think how low ya could get a tube chassis truck.....the shells are out there..

mine was a slant six also , it was a government truck so really that kept it in pretty good shape no rust and mechanically sound my dad bought it then sold it to me i ran onto a deal on the big block with the trans for $65.00, kind of a trade deal it took about a year to gather the rest of the parts and ambition to put it in , its by far the best thing i have done
