Restoring a '38 Plymouth coupe with a 318 small block V8. Has anyone done the same and if so what type of headers did you use?
Thank for your help.

I don't hae a 38 coupe but have a 37 pickup and can tell you I tried a boatload of off the shelf headers and nothing was close. I should clarify that I wanted full-length or long-tube headers due to their appearance and performance gains over shorty headers. However, you should have no problem fitting any of the shorty or block-hugger headers on the market. I ended up making my own long tube headers to not only get what I wanted but to optimize the little space I had due to steering, starter, oil filter, shift linkage, etc.

in the past I have used mid 70's sb truck headers and a few times I just had to reroute the 1 tube that goes over the top and down past the back tube on the pass side. the driver side fit pretty well. Ron....
