I made an awesome discovery the other day. I thought about profitng on it but yall are my friends and have helped me in the past. The mounts and brackets for the early A's are kinda hard to find well heres my discovery. I used a set of later brackets(72) on a 65 Dart, and I just happened to have an 88 Supra motor in the shop. Well I looked at the Supra mounts and low and behold they are the same post positions as a later style mount only alot thicker. I bolted them in and sat the engine down on the k-frame and it looked and sat in the perfect factory position. The mounts are $9 at Advance auto parts and the brackets from later A's are a dime a dozen. The only catch is that theres a metal cover on the Supra mounts that dont come with the new ones. Its needed or about a 1/4 inch shim. Hope this helps some of you having problems finding the older stuff. Maybe we can get this in the Tech section.

So was this used on a 273/318 motor, or 340/360 motor?

It was a 318 and worked like a charm.

Or better yet a mopar motor into a supra?

Probably not, the mounts are probably in different positions.
