Anyone ever repaint their instrument needles? I just got my dash parts rechromed for my 65 Coroent and now my gas, speedo and temp gauge needles look like dookie compared to everything else. If anyone has done this what type of orange paint did you use?

This is what I did on my 69 Roadrunner, not sure if the 65 Coronet needles are the same color:

I found some small areas of the needles that were not faded yet. I mixed Testors 1173 and 1175 at a 50 to 50 ratio. One is neon orange and the other is neon red. It matched perfect and looks real good. You can find that paint at any hobby store. Don't forget to carefully slip a business card behind the needle as you paint..........

I had a can of day-glo orange spray paint. I sprayed it thick on a piece of cardboard and then used a small brush dabed in it to paint the pointer. Worked good.
