Car runs great first twenty or so minutes. Temperature is in middle well before issues start. Then the car slowly starts to have a misfire, then minutes later with what appears to be raw fuel igniting inside the catalytic converter. Then car has hard time idling afterwards. No overheating temp gauge stays the same at all times no check engine light. after misfiring the car will not idle without playing with the throttle I'm thinking computer or coil pack ??? but no money to just buy parts and throw at it. 3.3 liter motor

That for me was the obvious start, and unfortunately was not the answer. I think it is actually a combination of issues, with multiple symptoms as a result of the prior issues. - misfire
- ignition in exhaust
- inability for the car to idle
I think in the end the cat is actually starting to plug as a result of the misfires

Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first.
Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

Do what I did with my '97 Grand Caravan last spring......drive it to the JUNK yard!!!!!! LOL.....but TRUE....original owner!!!!
I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

As the former proud owner of a '95 3.3L Grand Caravan, I can tell you plugs every 50,000, wires every 100,000 are the keys to a happy life. As to the converter, unless it's glowing red, it shouldn't be damaged.
