I bought one of the exhaust kits from Summit for my A-Body.. it was the 2.25" kit with Turbo mufflers... I had planned on doing it myself when I bought the kit but decided to just take it somewhere .. the exhaust shop that put it on said it was a Pain in the butt to put together, required a ton of cuts, and was not as easy as they advertised.

I put a 3" Summit system on my 69 Satellite... I love it. Just make sure you use the right style mufflers on it...

I did not use anyone's manufactured 3" exhaust, because of the changes that were made to the rear end by the prior owner. However, I did buy/install TTI headers, and took the car to an exhaust shop to have a custom fabricated 3" exhaust made. I used Magnaflow mufflers, and 3" reproduction stainless exhaust tips. Of course, custom fabrication will typically cost more $$$ than a Summit (or other) system, but IMO it was worth it.

It locates the mufflers on either side of the fuel tank. I used Super Comp headers and cut about 3" of pipe from one side and bolted it in. Not a great fit but OK for the $$$$. Exhaust is an odd location. Have not tried putting tips on it yet.

The pipes tuck up OK under the body.

The mufflers are on either side of the gas tank. The fit is tight! I actually rotated them slightly so they would fit so they are not entirely parallel with the ground. Ignore the turn downs I know it needs tips...

I don't know what brand of "turbo" mufflers Summit uses. Maybe there is a mark on the other side of the muffler but I didn't see anything tonight. I like the way they sound.

The Summit mufflers are offset at the inlet.
