I have an 06 QC 4x4 with a 4.7/auto and 160K miles. The other day the truck kind of shuddered and I got the little engine icon light. It was raining and I just figured I'd gotten something wet. When we scanned the code it was a transmission issue. (The guy reading the trouble code was reading it through the engine side and not the transmission side, so it only said I had a transmission trouble.) I had the filters and fluids changed but it did it again tonight. Any suggestions? I'm not wanting a rebuild right now.

Take it to a trans shop and have the codes read before you try anything else. I think some do it for free.

If he was reading the engine side, he would have seen a P0700 code, which means there is a trans code on the trans side.
Stumpy is correct, you need the code(s) read properly to have a basis to start.

Yep, that's my plan. I just was hoping to get a heads up on what might cause the shudder. It will be Monday before I can do it but when I know, I'll re-post. thanks
