Is it hard to replace door hinge pins & bushings or should I just replace the hinges?

We do the pins and bushings all the time. The hardest part is getting everything lined up IE: doors, windows etc. I have found it's a good idea to take a picture of the hinge before disassembly to prevent mixing things up. Film is really cheap these days LOL

Rebuilt hinges should work like new. The upper hinges came from the factory with bushings that can be replaced, and the lowers did not come with bushings. The best way to redo the lowers is to install an oversize pin, not drill for a bushing. For a kit to do this, see:

To dis-assemble/assemble, take more photos than you think you need as mentioned. You can easily remove the S spring by clamping it in a vise as shown, then apply torque to the top of it with a Crescent wrench, and let the hinge slide down.

If you don't want to build them yourself you could buy from Bob Kropp. He builds an improved version with stainless steel pins that are greasable. Check out the website www.superbirdbob.com
I have bought his parts, he is a friend and one of the good guys.
