What starter should I go with for my big block? Mid plate and glide chev bell housing.

Thanks

Anyone? I know I'm not the only guy running this set up.

My new car has the same set up on it but it is in the enclosed car trailer and I broke my left leg last week so I can't get out and about well enough right now to go look to see if it has a part # on it for you, sorry I'm almost positive it is a Powermaster. The thickness of the plate will be a factor in which shims you need to use with the starter, mine had a really thick adapter shim in plce from the prevouis owner who had a aluminum KB block in it, I had to change it to work with my 400 iron stock block stroker motor Mine is for a Mopar JW adapter flex plate with the crank adapter and the Mopar ring gear size, I think

I forgot to mention that the starter is a Chrysler gear reduction style starter, it is not a Chevy style starter that mounts on the passenger side of motor up into the block like Chevy's do. This one uses two studs on the midplate on the driver sides so it mounts like a Mopar stock starter does IHTHs

I am running msd-5098 with the snout sawed off. Drivers side mount, ati adapter and 130 tooth flywheel. I had to grind a little on the inside of my chevy bellhousing to clear the bendix.
Same as chrysler mini starter. I do know the clockable style will not work in my application.
